Hooray For June!

Well hello, hello! Looks like it's been awhile since I've been on here writing. The months have been getting away from me. July is here, and I'd better get busy paying attention to things or my summer is going to be long gone before I even get a chance to cut loose and have a little fun. LOL! Well, that's not completely true. I have been having some fun already, just not of the traditional summer time variety.

June was actually "let's run a B&B month here at Little Delving," well, the end of May and June actually. I got back from the Hawaii trip and had my Dad come stay with me for a long weekend. It was my first chance to see him since last October and his first chance to see the new home. It was a good visit. And then the first week of June my good friend David flew in from Taiwan for a quick visit. Actually, he was in Chicago for work and was able to sneak down here for a couple of days. Pretty cool, huh? And then Pam came in for a night on the 18th before she caught her plane out of Louisville. And then the weekend of the 20th Pat came down from Evanston for a couple of days. We did a drive over to Lexington to see some friends of hers, really nice people. I enjoyed the visit very much. But really, between all the company coming in and doing the usual corporate duty with Tempel-O-Doom, my month of June was over almost before I knew it had begun. Oi, as my friend Laura down in Oz would say.

But things are a little quieter now. and I'm coping pretty well and looking forward to enjoying the rest of my summer. My sister and I had breakfast this morning at The Waffle House. How cool is that? And then I spent a bit of today just messin' around on my PiBook. I made a nice little montage for my other friend Laura over in Málaga, Spain. She's helping me practice my flirting in Spanish. Trust me, I need lots of practice. LOL! But for her and her efforts I worked up a little video which you can see on YouTube
here if you want. I think it turned out quite nice. Laura is a vision.

And while I was working on that one I decided to go ahead and do a Vincent Van Gogh montage that I have been meaning to get around to for a year or so now. You can see that one
here on YouTube if you're up for about 10 minutes of truly beautiful artwork. Vincent was a gift from God to us. I used to have a slide show of some of his works here on Little Delving, but over the years that one gave way to other shows for the Gallery. It will be nice to have this new video on YouTube for all to see whenever they so choose. Yes, YouTube rocks.

And that was pretty much my last Sunday of June. Hooray for June! And now on to July. I'll check in with you all later. Enjoy your summer!

Cheers,
JB
