The Return of the Prodigal Blogger or Home Sweet New Home

It's amazing how quickly time can pass when you're not really paying attention; not paying attention or maybe distracted, which I guess is maybe paying too much attention to too few things. I'm not sure which is the case with me this past year, but one way or another I've seen the good part of a year come and go since I last updated Little Delving. Amazing.

Well, it's time to get back to it. A lot has happened since last spring so there are an abundance of things to reflect upon, and of course there are always new and engaging things cropping, popping, and in some cases dropping that beg for some attention and reflection. Regardless of whether we pay attention or not, the world keeps spinning, and even here at Little Delving the sun and the moon continue to rise and shine. Thank goodness!

Goodbye...

The big news of the current new year is that I am no longer living in Chicago. I have said my goodbyes to The Windy City and the condo lifestyle and have migrated south to the bottom bit of rural Indiana very near the Ohio River.

I'm now just across the water from Louisville, Kentucky. The proverbial stone's throw. I've swapped Chicago Land for "Kentuckiana" as they call it down here. Kentuckiana has a more cheerful and optimistic ring to it than does "Indiucky." I'm sure the vote wasn't even close on that one.

Hello... So with yet another new year underway, here I sit in a new home in a new town with a new operating system (El Tigre) on my trusty PiBook.

Well, really it's a TiBook, an old Apple Titanium Powerbook, but the pirate in me likes to think of it as a crusty ol' salty dog of a Pirate, Pi, Book. The Jolly Roger stickers on it I think make it official. And with the new operating system I was able to (finally) grab the latest and greatest 3.6 version of Rapid Weaver which I think is just about the coolest web site software out there. RW, you rock. It only took an hour or so to convert the old Little Delving to the shiny new 3.6 Little Delving and along the way I got to play with a few new features. If you have a moment go ahead and check out the Standing Stones slide show in the Gallery section. Nifty! And I'm sure as I get back into the blogging game here I will spend time exploring the new and improved possibilities. I think I'll also go back and do a little clean up. In fact, it's probably over due. Oh well, all things in due time, right? For now it feels good just to be back online and in business.

So here's to a new year and paying attention to the world around us all. Wæs hæil!
