Favoured!)

Doug
Tedsen,
long time good friend of mine from Nintendo days and annual
Bumbershoot partner when we both lived in Seattle. Doug lives n Mt.
Shasta, CA these days.
My
big sister
Cheryl!
She was blogging long before me, and finally convinced me to carve
out my own little cyber niche. This is her Xanga blog, Tiny
Butterfly.
Leah Okimoto
My
good friend Leah Okimoto has been working as a composer for several
years now, and the past few years have been very good for her and
her musical writing colleague Sean Grennan.
Married Alive is
playing at several theaters across the country.
Leah
& Sean's second show
A Dog's Life had
its world premier run in March of 2007 in Kansas City. This show
was commissioned by the American Heartland Theater as a result of
the success of
Married Alive.
Leah
and Sean spent the summer of 2007 working feverishly on their third
show
Another Night Before Christmas, a
poignant twist on holiday themed stories which again had its world
premier in Kansas City at The American Heartland Theater, and which
is now also making the theater rounds across the
U.S.
Among
The Gumtrees - Laura Beer
Laura
and I met in New Zealand and have become good mates since then. She
and her sweetie Ville moved from the UK to Australia last year.
They are sharing their Grand Adventure with us
all!
Lill
Ann is
another friend from the New Zealand trip a few years back. These
days she's living in Bergen, riding horses, teaching dancing, and
occasionally going to classes. She does her cyber thing on
Facebook. Because of Lill Ann I had to create a Facebook page for
myself. Also because of Lill Ann I have MSN Messenger loaded on my
Mac. Sheesh, the things you do for friends...
Melissa
Tipton is
an adventurous friend who a while back took a cannonball leap off
the pre-med track into the foamy, swirling waters of the creative
life. Film and writing projects abound. Now she is planning to pack
it up and move from Chicago to San Francisco to start her very own
pre-production company. Melissa is a lot of fun!
Melissa's aunt and frequent partner in crime,
Elizbeth McQuern,
Ms. Bella Rosa. A budding comic genius working the mean streets of
Second City.
I
really do own a concertina, and I really do intend to learn how to
play it in a serious way. Someday. Soon I hope. I've always loved
concertinas. This is a website for all of us concertina types, a
cozy little cyber home.
Bob
Tedrow made
my concertina. Turns out he liked my style choices so much that he
now uses pictures of my concertina on
his website. How cool is that?
A
mecca of folk music in The Windy City. I found
The Old Town School Of Folk Music late
in my Chicago days and managed to get in only a few classes, but it
was definitely my kind of place. I loved everything about it!
The
Ouroboros Theatre Company is
a new Chicago Land theater group founded by two friends of mine,
Scott and Jenny Sumerak. Any of you who are in the area get out
there and support them!
Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill Kentucky. This
year I moved from Chicago down to the Louisville Kentucky area. I'm
really enjoying reconnecting with my own rural roots, and I'm
looking forward to exploring what my new home area has to offer.
One of the places I'm especially looking forward to spending time
is this lovely village and living piece of American history.
Starlight Country Cabin is an original 1830's log
cabin home that has been lovingly restored for public use as a
vaction cabin. It's just a few miles from where I live, and
sometimes when I take a short ride out and about in the countryside
I like to drive by it and take in the views.
